I previously worked in broadcasting as an on air DJ for a Tampa Bay area radio station during prime time: 10am to 2pm!  A while back, I began to ‘play’ with being a DJ during nights when I wasn’t on air.  My passion began to grow immensely for the DJ profession.  I decided to learn everything there was to know about not only being a DJ, but being the best DJ around!  I joined the American Disc Jockey Association and became a Certified Disc Jockey.  After working for some other DJs with a lot of restrictions, I broke off and formed my own DJ/MC service called Entertainment By Wanda.  With my own business, I can serve my clients better!  I can be more accommodating, keep costs down and provide exactly what YOU want! 

I use a high tech approach where by all of my music inventory is played and stored via laptop computer using the latest PCDJ™. I currently have a song title inventory of 90,000 plus and more is being added each week with more to be added as specific demand dictates. My music inventory includes many genres : Pop, Country, Smooth Jazz, Big Band, Rock, Hip Hop, Blues, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s, Golden Oldies, Movie Music, Specialty Songs, etc.  I also have a 25,000 plus song title Karaoke inventory.  I am a subscriber to the Billboard Magazine service and many others which provide me with music before it is available for purchase to the general public!  We have the same songs that you hear on the radio that you cannot yet buy!

            By using a computer based inventory I can quickly access songs by title, artist, year, or genre almost instantaneously.  This also means that I don’t have to carry around boxes and boxes of records or CDs, avoiding the inevitable event with CDs: the song you want is ‘back in the warehouse’.  You can submit a list of preferred song titles and I set them up in a file ready for play in any order or quickly take requests on site. Some clients want disco lights and fun while others want background music for a sit down dinner.  Some clients want the DJ to ‘rule the dance floor’, but do not want song XYZ to be played under any circumstances: I can accommodate whatever your wishes are!
